MCAD COVID-19 Update

At MCAD the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and faculty is our top priority.

As of March 6, 五福彩票app苹果版下载 Minnesota announced a single confirmed case of COVID 19 and joins 24 other states with confirmed cases. We are monitoring this situation carefully and understand the anxiety surrounding the spread of the virus.

As part of taking proactive measures, MCAD has formed a cross-departmental team whose sole purpose is to respond to and mitigate any health risks on campus. In addition to regular phone calls and webinars with health-care advisors and other college leaders, the team meets twice weekly to monitor and discuss up-to-the-moment guidance from the and . Furthermore principal members of MCAD’s Emergency Operating Plan are currently doing extensive planning should this virus directly impact the institution.

Students, faculty, and staff have been informed of so that they can make better informed decisions. MCAD students who are studying abroad have made personal decisions about how to approach the remainder of the semester.  

MCAD has encouraged its community to self-report any so that appropriate health-care steps can be taken. All members of the MCAD community have been asked to be vigilant and take . 

Classes and other events have not been altered or cancelled, but as a precautionary step academic alternatives are in development.

While it is understood that none of these preventative measures can be 100% effective, it is imperative to reduce the risk to the community’s health and promote safety throughout the campus.
